Keep the timing independent of the visual style

The downloaded timing file is not a finished karaoke video or a CD+G disc image. Your player or renderer chooses fonts, colors and the highlighting effect.

JSON is useful when you build the renderer yourself and need word starts and ends. A caption or video utility can help package existing timing for a different destination.

Does standard LRC include a timestamp for every word?: Standard LRC is line-timed. Enhanced LRC adds word timestamps, and the player must support that extension to highlight individual words.

Does this remove the singer from the song?: The lyric timing workflow creates synchronized text. It does not promise a finished instrumental karaoke backing track.
